Well, here are 10 of the most memorable dogs in pop culture. They’re in no specific order but here goes:

1.) Brian Griffin
Now, I’m pretty sure Brian makes it on 9 out of 10 of these lists but I can’t resist. I have a soft spot for the sarcastic egotistical acholholic especially when paired with Stewie.

2.) Catdog
Many have forgotten the caracters from the Nickelodeon kids show but they stay near and dear to my heart.

3.) Marley
Marley from Marley & Me, both the movie and book made me cry. It’s such a touching and realistic description of what it’s like to be a pet owner.

4.) Chance and Shadow
On the subject of sad movies, Homeward Bound was always a good one for reducing people to tears.

5.) Dug
Dug from Up is probably the most memorable character from the movie because he never fails to make you laugh even when things get heavy.

6.) Scooby-Doo
Why? Because everyone loves Scooby-Doo!

7.) Sandy
Sandy from Annie is arguably one of the best mutts to grace the big sceen with their presence. I personally wanted my very own dumb dog.

8.) White Fang
I may have never seen the movie but every child in America has to read the book at some point in their academic career, and if that’s not pop culture I don’t know what is.

9.) Balto
Whether your talking about the movie or the true story you can’t help but root for the underdog.

10.)Tramp
Last, but certainly not least, there is Tramp from Lady and the Tramp, another streetwise stray you just want to see win.
These are the dogs that have helped to inspire generations of children and I imagine will continue to do so for many years to come. They are part of our popular culture and help to shape the way people view the world making them both memorable and noteworthy.

As always thanks for reading and comments are always welcome.
