Pitbulls are quite the controversial topic. Some view them as cruel viscous beasts, while others believe that as with any dog, their environment helps make them the dog they are, just like humans. I’ll let you guess which side I stand on; and here’s a hint one of my childhood pets was a Pitbull.

The reason I bring up this topic is a because of a special Pitbull named Wallace. He is an American Pitbull Terrier and a wonderful example of an underdog finding his happily ever after, and really who doesn’t love a good underdog story! Wallace was a stray who ended up in the Humane Society. It was a “low kill” shelter but Wallace was quickly targeted for euthanasia because he was a “liability”. Which was no surprise given he was an off-the-chart working dog that was bored out of his mind and a Pitbull to boot. Plus he had had zero training for the first year of his life making him a “problem child” with “issues adjusting”.
But none of this stopped a couple from adopting him.
Since then Wallace has surpassed any expectations that could have been imagined. Wallace has become an award winning disk dog. His story is now spreading like wildfire, he even has a book written about him, the dog has truly made it.
