The beagle was originally breed in England in the 1500 as a hunting dog, its believed that the breed is a cross between the Harrier and other english hounds. however the breed is so popular today because of their sweet, friendly tempermant. beagles are social creatures making them great pets for family’s as well as single owners. a beagle does however require lots of walking and they are prone to chonodroplasia aka dwarfism in their legs similar to a Bassetthound. grooming a beagle is relative simple because they don’t need a lot just brush or bathe as needed. another high point for a beagle is that for a full blood beagle the life expectancey is 12 to 15 years which is pretty high when compared to a great danes or another big dog. Beagles have three different barks making them not so great apartment dogs.
